Here you can select the user profile to which the changes will be made.

To make changes to any other user then the currently logged in user, you will need administrative privileges (be an administrator, or part of the Administrator user group).

To select a different user, select a user and press the button "Select User".

Note: To make changes to a users profile, this user needs to have logged on to his/her account at least once.

Beep on error

The "Beep on error" check box enables the playing of a beep sound when a system error occurs. The sound can be customized in Control Panel > Sound and Audio Devices, Sound tab. This setting doesn't affect custom error sounds played by applications.

Note: Changing this setting requires a logoff.

Enable combo box animation

The "Enable combo box animation" check box controls the animation that occurs when opening a list-box part of a combo box control.

Enable cursor shadow

The "Enable cursor shadow" check box controls the shadow-effect underneath the mouse cursor.

Note: This is not supported by all video drivers.

Enable list box animation

The "Enable list box animation" check box controls the scrolling effect that occurs when you scroll through a list-box control.

Enable menu animation

The "Enable menu animation" check box controls the animation effect that occurs when you open a menu.

Enable menu fading

The "Enable menu fading" check box controls the fade-in animation when opening a menu. If unselected, the animation effect will be a slide.

Note: For this check box to have an effect, you need to have "menu animation" selected.

Enable menu selection fading

The "Enable menu selection fading" check box controls the fade-out animation when you select a menu item.

Enable mouse hot tracking effects

The "Enable mouse hot tracking effects" check box controls mouse related effects such as the tool tips when you hover the mouse over the Minimize, Restore and Close buttons.

Enable tool tip animation

The "Enable tool tip animation" check box controls the sliding animation when a tool tip appears.

Enable tooltip fade

The "Enable tooltip fade" check box controls the fade-out animation when a tool tip disappears.

Enable windows animation

The "Enable windows animation" check box controls the animation of windows when closing, restoring or opening them.

Show windows version on desktop

The "Show windows version on desktop" check box enables the display of the windows version on the desktop. If you have multiple monitors attached, it will also show monitor information for each monitor.

Note I: If you have Web content enabled on the desktop, no information will be shown.
